MOSCOW, November 20 (R-Sport) - Rafael Nadal has started training on court as he continues to recover from a knee injury that has kept him out of competition since July, Spanish newspaper As reported Tuesday.
The world No. 4’s expected return to competition later this month will see him face either Britain’s Andy Murray or Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic, after the draw was made Tuesday for an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
“Let’s see, and if my body and especially my knee doesn’t hurt me, then I will be able to return to the game as soon as possible,” Nadal told the newspaper.
The injury ruled Nadal out of the Olympics, the U.S. Open and the World Tour Finals this year.
