MOSCOW, January 14 (R-Sport) - Former New York Rangers defenseman Steve Eminger’s first KHL season could be prematurely over after he was placed on waivers by CSKA Moscow, the Russia-based league said Tuesday.
The Ontario native has played 25 games for CSKA this season, scoring two assists, and achieving a zero plus-minus rating.
Eminger’s contract with CSKA runs until the end of the current season.
Eminger, 30, has played 488 regular-season NHL games, but was left a free agent when his Rangers contract expired in the summer.
