MOSCOW, December 6 (R-Sport) - The cream of Russia's NHL hockey talent including Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin has been summoned to play in the country's Euro Tour tournament this month.
New Jersey Devils wing Ilya Kovalchuk and Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk are also on the list for the Channel One Cup in Russia, the second stop of the six tour stages.
The event runs in Moscow on December 13-16, and also includes the national teams of Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland.
It marks a change for Russia coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov, who did not select any of the locked out NHL stars for the first stage in Finland last month.
The Czechs triumphed at the first stage in Finland last month with a 2-1 win over Russia.
