MOSCOW, November 27 (R-Sport) - Calgary Flames forward Roman Cervenka has suffered another injury just weeks after recovering from a back problem at his lockout team Lev Prague, the Czech team said Tuesday.
The back injury prevented the center from playing for Lev until November 14, since when he has scored one goal and one assist in five games.
The team said in a website statement that Cervenka would miss Lev’s next three games after suffering an unspecified injury in the 7-3 win over Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on Friday.
Cervenka was the KHL's top goalscorer in the 2010-2011 season with Avangard.
Long regarded as one of the best players outside the NHL, he signed with Calgary as a free agent in May.
Lev is eighth in the Western Conference with 12 wins in 28 games and signed new coach Vaclav Sykora earlier this month.
