MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti) - Lev Prague and Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek is set to be sidelined for a month after picking up a knee injury, Lev said Monday.
Lockout signing Voracek injured his knee in a home match against SKA St. Petersburg on Saturday, which the Russian team won 4-3.
Earlier this month, Lev released injured Calgary Flames forward Jiri Hudler after doctors found out he could be out for a month with an abdominal muscle problem.
“Center Jakub Voracek suffered a knee injury in the third period and the early indication is he’ll be out of the lineup about four weeks,” a statement on the Lev website said.
Voracek has scored once and recorded six assists in seven appearances for Lev so far.
Defenseman Alexandre Picard also picked up an injury in training, the team said.
“On Sunday, defenseman Alexandre Picard collided into the boards awkwardly and hurt his shoulder. The extent of his injury should be known Monday after a thorough examination.”
Lev is third in the Western Conference and plays Dynamo Moscow on Tuesday.
